LA LGBT Center - What’s Love

To talk about National Coming Out Day, we wanted to make an honest film about the hardships LGBT+ youth experience when trying to gain acceptance from their families.

While Pride parades and celebrations take place, for many coming out is a painful, scary process. We wanted to remind them they aren’t alone, but also remind their families that all they have to do is continue to love them.

A follow up video showed the progress that can be made when families learn to accept their teens.

Social Videos

To have these films be authentic as possible, we wanted the cast to be apart of the community - drawing on real experiences and emotions. We put short videos on social of our cast speaking about their own personal experience with coming out.
